IP address of Android device

IP stands for Internet Protocol. Hence, IP ADDRESS refers to Internet Protocol Address.
Any device (mobile phone, iphone, laptop, macbook, ipod, etc) when it is connected to a internet network, an IP address is assigned to that device. IP address can be manually assigned by someone or automatically by the server or router.
In light of these importance, an IP address assumes a whole lot of significance. A device that doesn’t show an IP address means that there can be some issue either with the device or with the router.

 

To locate the IP address of an android device, we follow the following steps:

Step 1:   Navigate to the main menu and choose Settings

 

Step 2:   Tap on About phone/device

Step 3:  Click on Status

Step 4:   The IP address can be seen as a string of numerals

Note:

The IP address as one can see is a string of numerals separated by dots.
